JAL MILEAGE BANK (JMB) recognizes the importance of JMB Members personal information, and treats it with the utmost care and attention. In order to enhance security, JMB members have been requested to change their current 4-digit PIN number to 6-digit PIN after October 2004. LAW of protecting Personal Information has become effective as of April 1st 2005 in Japan and we would like to announce that JAL have set a new standard for management of personal information related to JMB program. With due consideration for personal information, JAL asks a few questions such as membership number and date of birth for identification purpose before handling award request, change of registered information, mileage balance inquiry etc. JAL basically does not accept any inquiries from third parties and we request certain identification for proxy person who has been registered as proxy person in advance.
